Katalapi Park offers the popular course "Flora of Chile for all", in which basic concepts of Botany, identification of plants and experiences in the temperate rain forest are addressed. The course will be given by Dr. Verónica Briceño (Plant Ecologist), Daniel Harris Pascal (Consultant and Designer of Edible Forests; Australian National University), and Yessica Perez Solis (Consultant of Chilean Flora; Universidad Austral de Chile). The course will last 3 days from October 26 to 29, 2018. This course will include theoretical classes that will be reinforced with didactic activities and field explorations (See program). There are no special requirements for this course. The course is open to all people interested in acquiring basic knowledge to identify Chilean plants. Teachers, tourist guides, park keepers, students, environmentalists, and any person who wishes to take the course are encouraged to apply.
