It is a practical theoretical course where you will learn about native plants and how to dye using them. In this course you will learn about the history of natural dyes, the natural fibers used for dyeing, the implements you need to dye and the dyeing methodology in a theoretical and practical way. You will also learn about the plants used for dyeing in a tour of the forest (see program). In this course you will make a sample of the colors extracted from different plants and a herbarium of dyeing plants. This course will be given by Marianne Meier, Tintorera and Verónica Briceño, plant ecologist. The course lasts 3 days, from November 16-18, 2018.
