The date for the 2016 version of the Workshop for Facilitators of Outdoor Environmental Education (OEE) has been set: it will be held Thursday the 1st through Saturday the 3rd of september at Katalapi Park. The course, aimed at people who wish to guide groups with educational purposes, not only in schools but also in informal settings, will combine lectures on theory with fun games and application activities in the field.
The program, includes perspectives on th 5 major objectives of outdoor environmental education, provides plenty of spaces for activities according to the experiential cycle (socio-constructivism) , and encourages thought about what has been learnt and its application to the development of the participants´ own programs.
The cost of the workshop is $120 thousand Chilean pesos per participant, which includes registration, all meals, and lodging in shared quarters (bunk beds- bring your own sleeping bag). The course will start on Thursday september 1st with the registration of participants between 9-11 AM and will finish after a late lunch (curanto) on the afternoon of Saturday the 3rd.
