Infraestructure

The park has 28 Ha (about 56 acres) of native forest and open fields. There are laboratory, classroom, camping, and lodging facilities. There are trails that allow visitors appreciate the biodiversity of the park. Water abundance in the park (river, lagoon, and ponds) maintain a high amphibian population.

 

The main attraction of the park is its richness in fern species. One of them is an arborescent fern called Katalapi (Blechnum magellanicum),  from which the park took its name. Contact: avliegen@parquekatalapi.cl
